John Wesley Shipp is a multi-award-winning actor with roles on both the stage and screen. He won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for As the World Turns and the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Daytime Drama for Santa Barbara.

John is perhaps best known for playing CSI investigator Barry Allen on the 1990 CBS original series The Flash, based on the DC Comics hero; Mitch Leery on Dawson’s Creek; Kelly Nelson on Guiding Light; Douglas Cummings on As the World Turns; and returned to the superhero primetime universe as Henry Allen on The Flash (CW), Jay Garrick, the original Golden Age Flash,  reprised his role as The Flash (of 1990) in the 5-part crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”
